Ecstasy treats leukemia ?!
An amended version of popular “Party Drug” MDMA, better known as Ecstasy, proved to be very successful therapy for several types of blood cancer.
Ecstasy, some antidepressants and some pills for weight loss are destroying cancerous white blood cells. But!
– Possibility to treat blood cancers with drug obtained from ecstasy is genuinely exciting idea, said Dr. David Grant, director of research for leukemia and lymphoma nongovernmental organization which funded the new study.
– Many types of lymphoma, the lens is very difficult and we need the medication that is not toxic, which are effective and have little side effects. It takes more work on it, but this research is a significant step in the development of powerful new drugs against cancer, said Grant.

However, the dosage required to achieve this effect were so high that they would be fatal to the patient.
Experts from the University of Birmingham have been inked with scientists from Western Australia and started working on a modified version of the popular psychoactive substance. Together they managed to make a form of MDMA, which is 100 times more effective in fighting cancer than the standard version.
